WUDDUP THERE VSA'ers?!?!?!!?!?!!??!?!!!?
I hope all y'all are prepared for this HAYLA bipolar weather we're having today o_0 And to think it was going to get warmer from here... ah well! ~April Showers Bring May Flowers~ :D d'aww I hope all y'all learned that back in elementary school :D AAAANYWAYS!

Thanks for all of those who attended [ANTI]FRIENDSHIP GAMES!! >:D muahahahha and those pictures of Michael Nguyen were put to good use! WHERE IS YO PRESIDENT?!?!?! haha :3 But really, I hope all you guys had lots of fun and made some new friends REGARDLESS if we are anti-friendship :]

AWWWWWRIGHHH VSA'ers! GENERAL MEETING NUMERO OCHO! 5 PEE-EM. AT DUH EEST TERRIS~ :3 We will be playing a BloB Game and then a very special activity that involves the traditional Vietnamese game known as Bầu Cua Cá Cọp! :]

ALRIGHTY! This week's meeting is going to be special because it's also our ~*~*~OMNOMNOMNOMINATIONS!~*~*~ Basically, we are all making nominations to people who we think are capable of running next year's board! Please take this seriously as we do not want the meeting to drag TOO long! :] Please also be mindful that these are people that will be serving you guys next year, and you want them to do a good job! :] Don't just vote because they're your friend or because it's for fun~

SO anyways, here are the positions to be nominated for and a little summary of what each of them do:

---------------------------------------------
President: You make decisions that dictate the direction of VSA, and make sure the club is moving towards its goals. While the president doesn't have a defined role, they should be involved in all other activities, delegate tasks accordingly, and ensure that each individual aspect of the organization comes together. You also represent CSULB VSA to ASI and UVSA.

Internal Vice President: You are the president's right hand person and are responsible for all duties when his or her presence is absent. Your duty is to maintain peace and tranquility within VSA among members as well as board members. Your position requires you to understand the proceedings of the club and make certain that your fellow board members, as well as yourself, complete their duties successfully and efficiently.

External Vice President (ICC): You serve as liaison between CSULB VSA and UVSA. Quantification include being sociable, organized and available Sunday from 10am-12pm for ICC meetings. Is a great position for those interested in VSA beyond the campus level.

VCN Coordinator: in charge of putting on a culture night to enhance the knowledge of Vietnamese culture on others. It's a big responsibility but with a supportive VCN board group the show will be great!

Secretary: You are the keeper of information. On the surface, the job seems like just taking minutes (notes) at meetings, but beyond that, you should be the one that knows everything. You support board by knowing the details, and by knowing how to get any information that you need. Multitasking, organizing, and a clear writing are huge pluses.

Treasurer: Nothing goes in or out of the VSA account without your knowledge. You record any money that exchanges hands involving VSA -- any costs, profits, grants, sponsorships, fundraisers, reimbursements, pennies you find on the ground, everything.

Activities Chair: You are in charge of entertaining the club members with icebreakers, games and break the ice and have them form as a whole club and not as a individual member. Being very communicative and and having high energy, creative thought process are some key features activities chair needs.

Events Coordinator: Events coordinator is the compelling sub part of activities chair. Planning events with other VSA schools and planning our very own events, events coordinator is for someone who is the ultimate planner. Planning events such as Halloween clubbing event, VMAS, winter retreat and so forth are some major events that have your input.

Historian: As historian you take pictures documenting all VSA events including meetings. Members who were not able to make it to the meetings/events should be able to get a general idea of what happened through the pictures; Also make sure future VSA board can look back and tell how well the event went/how many people attended..etc. through the pictures.

Public Relations: As PR, you are basically the liaison between LBVSA and the whole world out there [aside from UVSA, that's the ICC's job]. When it comes to VSA events, the PR tries to get the word out everywhere to the public as much as possible so that more people can come to our events. Also, other duties involve making e-mails for the members, and setting up FB Event pages for special events.

Marketing: Creative mind behind the advertising VSA VISUALLY. This position is in charge of designing from small things to fliers up to big like VCN cover and its program.

Webmaster: In charge of social media website such as facebook and our official website(which LBVSA does not have right now). Providing information to members through the power of social media online.

And now introducing our NEW Board positions!

Fundraiser Chair: In charge of creating events to help raise money for our club use or for a charity event under VSA's name.

Cultural Chair: Cultural chair Is in charge of creating FUN activities/games or even a day to educate our club about Vietnamese culture. Not only is it educating about the Vietnamese culture, but also the Vietnamese-American culture as well. From food, music, dance, and values, the Cultural Chair will educate members on all those aspects.

ACE Chair: In charge of creating ACE applications and pairing littles up with the right big! Also, other duties include setting up events where ACE's can further build strong bonds with each other.
----------------------------------

Okay, I know that was a lot to read, but we're REALLY excited, guys! :] This week will be nominations, and next week will be Speeches and Elections! :]

ALRIGHTY! WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE, GUYS! :]
