I am modeling a shadow box, and studying the temperature within the shadow box as it relates to different glazing and internal materials.  What cavity method should I use between the IGU and the back of the shadow box, so that THERM includes the solar radiation in the cavity?

Therm does not model solar radiation. You can model systems in window, and it will take into account transmitted solar radiation, and will give you temperatures for each layer. You can make new layers in WINDOW in the glass library, such as opaque layers or insulation. This will give you more accurate temperatures for the center of the panel, but not exactly what happens with the thermal bridges near the edge. You can put a heat flux on the boundary in therm, but it will only be on the boundary, not taking into account solar radiation through the glazing.
