Hello Therm Forum.

I'm hoping someone can help me on this forum.
I have some thermally broken aluminium frames for which I would like to know the Uf calculated to NFRC-100.
Is there anyone who can help me with this?

There are 3 different frames.
1 Fixed window
2 Casement/Awning
3 Sliding

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards
Theike

You might want to get in touch with an NFRC Certified Simulator -- They are listed on this NFRC website

Click on the NFRC Certified Simulators option. Unfortunately there are no links to the simulator companies, but hopefully you can google them and find them.

Hi Robin,
just out of curiosity ... how do you become NFRC Certified Simulator?

Thanks, Fabrizio

Fabrizio,

You need to attend one of the NFRC sponsored simulator workshops and complete a take home exam.

I am not sure if you can get certified without the workshop but you definitely seem to have sufficient knowledge to do so. In the end any take home exam really shouldn’t need a workshop to pass.

It doesn’t look like there are any workshops in the calendar this year. Also most of these are in North America. Follow the link below to see if anything pops up in the future.

Thank you Yalin for the information.
Actually, attending a US workshop would be for me a little out of the way, since I live in Italy! :-)
It is true that I know how to simulate windows systems with Therm according to EN standards but on the other hand I don't know anything about NFRC's standards and procedures, and very little of Window sw use. It is something I would like to implement one day or another, just to complete my technical expertise.

ciao
Fabrizio
