Issues to import Glazing System database from Window to Therm

Good Morning,

 

I’m using Therm 7.4.3.0 and Window 7.4.14.0 for some time, but now I’m no more able to import glazing systems from W to T.

T turns me the following message “Trouble reading the Window database. This may be an older version of Window database that is not supported by this version of Therm. Contact LBNL for further information”.


I’m working with more than one database and those file were working before.

It turns the same message if I try to import the original W7.mdb database.

 

I’ve tried without success to restart the software, create new database, restart the computer.

I’ve also tried to download the new release of T and W, but it seems my LBNL account is not working and when I try to request a new password I don’t receive any email or message from LBNL system.

What can I do?

The first thing to try is to open the WINDOW database in the version of WINDOW that is compatible with the THERM version you are using. Then close WINDOW, and try the import again into THERM

Hi there, 
I have recently re-installed my THERM 7.6 (I don't want to upgrade past this version bc it is compatible with Rhino/Ladybug), and now I get this same "Trouble reading the Window Database" error.  My Window version is 7.7, and it has always been compatible for me.
I tried closing and opening each software, to no avail.  How is this resolved?

You need to use WINDOW  7.6 with THERM 7.6.

Hi Robin,
Thanks for your response. 
I don't see WINDOW 7.6 available for download.  I downloaded 7.4, which also had the compatibility issue.  Any ideas?

Try opening the database in WINDOW 7.7, to make sure the database is migrated to the latest version, and then closing it, and see if THERM 7.7 can read the database.
