I’m new to THERM and I’m trying to run a simple 2-D model for a canopy bracket penetrating an EWI system (EPS + render). My geometry is complete and my interior and exterior boundary conditions are applied correctly.
But when I try to run the calculation I get the message:
“Problem meshing model.”
The issue is that in THERM 7.8 (my version), I cannot see any “mesh” button in the toolbar, so I cannot manually generate the mesh. The icon that should normally produce the mesh is not there in my installation. I’ve attached a screenshot of my interface so you can see the toolbar.
I suspect one of these issues, but I can’t find the source:
A tiny gap between polygons
A vertex not snapped
A polygon overlap
Or THERM auto-meshing failing with no way to debug
Can anyone tell me:
Where the mesh command is located in THERM 7.8, if it has moved or been renamed?
How to manually force a mesh in this version?
How to locate the exact point that causes meshing failure?
Any help is appreciated — I’ve attached the screenshot of my geometry and toolbar.
