I've imported my materials into THERM via CSV. But not only are all the material color BLACK instead of what was chosen via HEX code, but the material library is "PROTECTED".
Is there something I'm missing to correctly import the CSV to not only have the HEX colors picked, but also not have it locked?

Hi,
Try to open your CSV file with notepad.exe and rewrite the color value as the screenshot below. Also delete the comma after the "Composite" word.
Then reload the library in the Therm and check the colors.
Good luck.

You probably already found this, but here is a link to the Knowledge Base article about importing a CSV into the THERM Material Library.

As Zugur noted, the color needs to be in HEX -- there are many RGB to HEX converters on the web.

And the name probably shouldn't have commas, although the quotes should handle that.

I will check to see if the imports come in protected, which they shouldn't.

I just confirmed that Material Library records that are imported from a CSV file do come in Protected. I don't think we want to change that, because there are some people using THERM that make libraries this way that they don't want their user groups to change.

So you will want to make sure that everything is defined properly in your CSV file, so that you don't need to edit it in THERM.

I also confirmed that it is fine to have commas and other punctuation in the name, as long as it is surrounded by quotes.

So it seems the main problem with your CSV file is that the colors are not in HEX

Dear Robin,
you are correct, the comma can be used there. I already wrote to Mat about it(by private letter).
Sorry again.

Kind regards,

Zugur

Fixed the Hex color numbers to include "0x"
Kept comma in description
"understood" protection constaints
Everything worked as it should.  Thank you!

Yes.

Open the Material Library, click Save Lib As, use the CSV extension for the filename, and the library will get saved as a CSV file.
