Two things to consider:

As you may know, there is a bike detour around the Country Club Shores Turn Lane Construction Project on Gulf of Mexico Drive.  

The bike lanes on the roadway are closed.  Road Cyclist should take a detour thru Longboat Key Club (sign posted), or the sidewalk/MUP,  going South or North.

Also, The 2025 Tour de Parks will be held on Sunday, March 23.  This is a bike ride to support the Legacy Trail (a very fine Rails to Trails).  Check it out at https://friendsofthelegacytrail.org/tour-de-parks-bicycle-ride/
The 2025 Tour de Parks will be held on Sunday, March 23. Registration is open. Last year’s 62 mile ride has been temporarily reduced to 53 miles due to road damage from Hurricane Milton on Manasota Key.
