Salam Guys.
So i just received the delivery of my new COROLLA CRUISETRONIC 1.8. I have received the navigation card as well , but I have not been able to figure out how to use it,especially how to activate and use the GPS navigation offline (without internet) through SYGIC. Any steps to follow or guidance would be highly appreciated.
Coming to the original question, go the File Explorer > SD Card > Sygic Package Installer.apk > Install the app > Open it and then click next next till it gives you the option of Activate it (right soft key of your screen). There you will have a code there, copy the code and contact the dealership to give you the activation code against the code number you just copied. The dealership guys will contact the TPL guys and give them the code and will get the activation code from them and will then forward it to you.
You will have to enter the activation code and your Sygic will get activated.
My dealership activated it to me themselves. But I got my card delivered 15 days I got the delivery of my car. Visit your dealership and ask them to activate sygic, they will do it for you. Ask the salesperson you booked your car from.
@nifiii i have activated the Sygic navigation in my car by following the steps u mentioned.Had one more query. Can i still use the same navigation card in another car or in a tab(or mobile) if it has already been activated in another system?( or would i need to activate it again when i plug it into a new device?)
Your sygic card license won't work in any other car, not even any other corolla. It shall work in your car only because the activation license was linked to your android headunit t only.
However you may use the card for other purposes like songs, videos etc. But make sure to not lose the sygic files.
It will not be updated..tpl is a shithead company and toyota does business with them. They say they never updated afyer 2012..so basically the onky offline option is to install navitel from playstore...for ,3000pkr...and enjoy updates.it works smooth as well. Toyota should be ashamed of tpl really.
Navitel is paid..bro. i have some anger for tpl and indus that when we paid 3.1 million for grande.. atleast maps should have been updated and useful. Inshallah will file a case in comsumer court in coming days. tpl person suggested me to use Google maps on phone:)..imagine the level of these stupids
I got my car in December 2018 and maps inside my car's headunit are from 2012. I live in Lahore and these are utter useless for me. I have checked with dealership and they have no answer. The unit provided in car is decade old in specs and can't run google maps properly and if used it, hangs with maps.
How can i update maps? I saw the booklet with car documents and it says maps are updated after 6 months. Currently maps are 6 years old as i m living in Lahore from last 31 years. Kindly provide assistance else i m forced to file a law suit against this poor maps service, i cannot even use. I have found navitel maps which are updated but cost 3100pkr from google play store. I m not willing to spend money since i expect updated maps after spending 3.1 million on a car.

Sygic (Android navigation app) shows "Inaccurate signal for car navigation" and does not show the current position nor navigate. It does however show a signal bar for all of the satellite signal bar positions. When going into the numeric position display (Menu - Settings Hardware GPS Satellites -), it shows current geo coordinates, speed, height etc. Very occasionally, the position indicator may even jump to the current position on the map but at best follows the current route for a few meters only and then is "offline" again. Nonetheless, while offline the map (the section of the map shown on the display) may reorientate according to current cardinal direction (or sort of that, not sure that it orientates correctly).
Edit: Seeing the comments, I have coined this question as a bug report. I do not know, who is responsible for the bug (i.e. does not adhere to standards), Sygic or Jolla or even both. However, the same version of Sygic is working normally on an Android tablet (without Internet access while traveling).
[EDIT] If you have a problem with the licence (if you have already buy one), you must write your IMEI instead of the world imei in "m_str_DrvDevice=imei" in the file settings.ini (and delete settings2.dat) because Alien Dlavik seems to not have access to the right IMEI and the licence could only be activated with your unique IMEI.
CLOSE Sygic or be sure it's not running (in the background). If needed, copy settings.ini (/data/sdcard/sygic/android) to a place where it is certainly editable.Open settings.ini with tinyedit or another app. Maybe it's editable on pc?
Remove all the maps you have (all countries in /data/sdcard/Sygic/maps)Start Sygic, it will probably complain about license. You have the option to reactivate your license (assuming you've got an activation key).
If you don'r remove the maps: Sygic will not go on to it's next menu after selecting countries (that's what I've encountered). If you do not remove settings2.dat, the change of the settings.ini file has no remarkable effect. If you don't fill in your IMEI, Sygic will give a notice about invalid license or something and your only option is to quit.enter code here
Confirmed the solution for latest Sygic (major update), 14.6.2. Typing your activation code is a complete hell, but is possible...try. And try. And try. And try. Really.Update: GPS fix isn't great. Reverting to GPS,9600,3 wasn't the solution...
since I've bought a Sygic license some time ago and now want to completely switch to Jolla as my primary phone, I've took the time to investigate the problem a little bit (on Sygic 15.5.9)... Apparently the satellite information received by Sygic has some strange data about satellites which are currently used. When Sygic receives satellite data it gets one or more GpsSatellite objects ( ) which contain a method called boolean usedInFix(). This method returns true if the satellite was used by the GPS engine when calculating the most recent GPS fix. Unfortunately some satellites are notreported correctly to Sygic, leading the application to think that the location can not be determined. It might not be the most elegant solution but (fortunately) we can force Sygic to consider all received satellite data!
When you are able to "unpackage" and "repackage" APK you can use JBE (Java Bytecode Editor) tochange the bytecode as follows: in class com.sygic.aura.clazz.SatelliteInfo, in the second constructor ( method)change bytecode instruction at line 25 (the line before putfield com/sygic/aura/clazz/SatelliteInfo/nInUse I) from iload_2 to iconst_1 save method and rebuild package
