Windows 11 is designed to bring you closer to what you love and is releasing at a time when the PC is playing an even more central role in the way we connect, create and play. When we made the decision on where to set the minimum system requirements for Window 11, we focused on three principles to guide our thinking to help ensure a great user experience:

Processors/CPUs (Central Processing Units): 1 Ghz or faster with 2 or more cores and appearing on our list of approved CPUs. The processor in your PC will be a main determining factor for running Windows 11. The clock speed (the 1 Ghz or faster requirement) and number of cores (2 or more) are inherent to the processor design as it was manufactured and are not considered upgradable components.
System Firmware: UEFI (for Unified Extensible Firmware Interface, a modern version of the PC BIOS) and Secure Boot capable. If your device does not meet the minimum requirements because it is not Secure Boot capable, you may want to read this article to see if there are steps you can take to enable this. Secure Boot can only be enabled with UEFI and this article helps you understand potential options to change settings to make this possible.
TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. If your device does not meet the minimum requirements because of TPM, you may want to read this article to see if there are steps you can take to remediate this.
Windows Version for Upgrade: Your device must be running Windows 10, version 2004 or later, to upgrade through Windows Update. Free updates are available through Windows Update in Settings > Update and Security.
For Windows 10 Pro, Education, and Enterprise, S mode is no longer available in Windows 11. Users who want to upgrade to Windows 11 will need to switch out of S mode and will not have an option to switch back again. Windows 10 Home can upgrade to Windows 11 Home in S mode without needing to switch out of S mode.
On the page that appears in the Microsoft Store (Switch out of S mode or a similar page), select the Get button. After you confirm this action, you'll be able to install apps from outside the Microsoft Store.
We know that some customers will want an easy-to-use process for determining if their PC meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11 and is eligible for the upgrade. To help with this, we are providing the PC Health Check app for Windows 10 PCs. In addition to diagnostic checks, there is a push-button simple way to check upgrade eligibility for Windows 11. Once Windows 11 is released, Windows Update will also offer a way to assess upgrade eligibility. You will be able to access this from Settings > Update & Security. These options are designed for customer PCs that are not managed by an IT administrator. If your PC is managed by an IT administrator, you should check with them on options for assessing eligibility and upgrading to Windows 11.
For those who ultimately are not able to upgrade their existing PC to Windows 11 due to device ineligibility and are not ready to transition to a new device, Windows 10 remains the right choice. Windows 10 will still be supported through October 14, 2025, and we recently announced that the next feature update to Windows 10 is coming later this year.
We are receiving messages about how our indexers (distributed environment) doesn't meet the minimum system requirements, but after taking a further look at Splunk's reference hardware documentation ( ) I still can't seem to figure out where we are lacking in.
I found the same problem in one of my projects: Reference Hardware for Indexers with ES is 16 GM of RAM and I had 16 GB, but the health check is done on available memory that's a little less than 16 GB (in my case 15.88, in your case 15.66).
As with all web-based products, you may find different levels of success depending on the age of your device and software. While we recommend the following minimum requirements, it is not possible for us to test all device models and software combinations. For this reason, we recommend you test the course on your device to determine compatibility.
To ensure your learners are able to access their EVERFI content and assignments, please review the following information to allow the required URLs and email domains. The list is organized by platform.
Firewalls or other spam blocking devices may wrongfully tag EVERFI, LawRoom, or CampusClarity emails as spam. Please ensure the following emails and domains are accessible to ensure you and your users properly receive all course-related emails such as invitation and reminder notifications, password retrieval, etc.
The mail.everfi.net and mail.everfi-foundry.net domains are setup with the proper SPF records and their root domains are setup with the proper DKIM records. Emails from these domains use mail.everfi.net and mail.everfi-foundry.net as return path domains (*@mail.everfi.net or *@mail.everfi-foundry.net).
You can further use DKIM signatures to authenticate the email came from EVERFI. DKIM authentication paired with return path whitelisting should ensure your learners will receive critical communications from the EVERFI Platform.
EVERFI uses the cloud provider Amazon SES for sending emails. This provides us with the scalability and reliability to send millions of emails daily. As such, we do not have a dedicated IP that emails are sent from to allow. Emails originate from the same set of IPs as other Amazon SES customers. This is a large range of IP addresses. Furthermore, this list is subject to change from time to time.
For these reasons, it is strongly encouraged to allow or authenticate incoming emails using the DKIM method mentioned above. However, if approval by IP address is your only option, the information is listed below.
As an online student at Academy of Art University, you will need a personal computer that meets the minimum system requirements to access our Learning Management System. Certain programs and tools may have additional requirements. Please check with the school department for any additional requirements.
ISP (Internet Service Provider): any service provider will suffice if it provides reliable access to the Internet of 3 Mbps (minimum). It is highly recommended that you have a connection capable of 10 Mbps or more. Although unlikely, please ensure your ISP does not enforce data caps which would prevent you from uploading multiple large files.
Anti-virus software: While participating in online classes, you may choose to share documents and files via email or in the online Discussions tool. You are expected to use your own updated anti-virus software. Anti-virus software can be downloaded for free or for a small charge from the provider of your choice.
Additional Software: Some classes require additional software or hardware which you may need to purchase, at additional cost. Some software or hardware may only be compatible with one operating system (MacOS or Microsoft Windows). Please read the class descriptions carefully.
Students are able to interact with their classmates and instructors. Online classes encourage communication through discussion, video conferencing, multimedia feedback, and small class sizes. Students participate in flexible discussions allowing them to ask questions and receive constructive feedback.
For best performance, Instructure products should be used on the current or previous major releases of Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. Because Instructure products are built using web standards, Instructure products run on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, or any other device with a modern web browser.
Instructure products require an operating system that can run the latest compatible web browsers. Your computer operating system should be kept up to date with the latest recommended security updates and upgrades.
Note: Vanity Canvas URL users may encounter SSL validation errors when they open Canvas if their browser or any other tools interacting with Canvas are not Server Name Indication (SNI) compatible. All browser versions listed in this guide are SNI compatible.
The widget above searches your current browser settings and indicates your browser status. You should always use the most current version of your preferred browser. Your browser will notify you if there is a new version available. Cookies and JavaScript should be enabled.
Some supported browsers may still produce a banner stating Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for Canvas. If you have upgraded your browser, but you are still seeing the warning banner, try logging out of Canvas and clearing your browser's cache and cookies.
Chrome and Firefox offer extended release versions for organizations that manage client desktops. Chrome ESR can be kept up-to-date with the existing full version of Chrome at any time. However, Firefox ESR is only updated with every seventh major version, which causes Firefox ESR to overlap with outdated versions. The Firefox ESR webpage notes that ESR may not be supported in every web application because of this version release delay. Institutions who use Firefox ESR should consider deploying the latest release to ensure the best Canvas user experience.
Like all Instructure product features, contrary behaviors relating to browsers are prioritized by our product teams, and some behaviors in the previous version may not be resolved. If a behavior exists in the previous version of the browser that does not exist in the current version, the best solution is to update to the newest browser version.
