Ok, folks, the last and biggest assignment is upon us.  Hopefully everybody has an opinion and inputs.  Let’s start with the first one – it is probably the most important and possibly the most contentious.  If everyone can give their inputs it will be a really good discussion.

Fundamental Problem. What is the fundamental problem you are solving for the end user of your product? What is the fundamental problem you're solving for your customer (if it is different from the end user)? Give a quick recap of your OAP - just a reminder of your key points and the takeaway.

Thanx & Regards,

Good morning team

As a starting point I would summarise with the following:

Fundamental problem for end user - When it comes to video content, the multitude of platforms, the different solutions (legal or not) and the quality of content available can make the experience fastidious. L3 provides a one stop shop destination, with a content offering ranging from niche entertainment to educational videos where the end user can decide on paying for the content or access it for free in exchange of ad serving.

Fundamental problem for the customers - monetisation of content has become a central pain point with the growth of digitalisation and piracy. With a unique encrypting solution L3 proposes to content creators an option to protect and distribute their IP while generating a revenue for work. Additionally through the use of a close environment, L3 offers its customers the opportunity to grow their audience and benefit from L3 ecosystem.

Again just thought staters to keep the ball rolling, feel free to amend and disagree.

Cheers
Alice

Alice:

This is good.  I think you have been very clear right from the start about the customer vs. end-user and that has really helped to clarify my thinking.  And of course it was reinforced by Chucke Eesley’s comment on the same (Customer vs. User).

Anyone else have inputs?

Hi Folks!  Please do check out our feedback and also please do go and do some Peer Evaluations.

Any thoughts on how this course has helped L3 and what direction L3 should take?

Hi Anil, hi team,

The feedbacks are pretty good - I think everyone can see the potential of L3, as we all did at the beginning of the course, and it should encourage you to push towards a more developed version of your idea.
From the OEP feedback, there are some interesting comments in regards to how to avoid L3 to be bypassed or some branding comments regarding the name of the product, both comments which I think should be taken in consideration.

I'm a bit unclear on how the course has given you, Anil, more than what you already knew or tested - from a personal perspective, the course was a great learning platform but I don't think we had the interaction necessary to make the most out the available resources in the team. Maybe having such a large group was detrimental to the outcome for this course but again this is only my view..

I've sent previously some thoughts about the direction that I think could be tested or explored for L3, using current functionalities and portfolio or using learnings from other software based actors which are already established such as Spotify. If you are keen to keep the ball rolling and continue the conversation outside of this course, please let me know.

Regardless, all the best to everyone with your future endeavours, it was a very interesting experience from my end!
Cheers
Alice

Hi Alice and Team:

Yes, the feedback is overall good.  I came into this class without many expectations, but I think I got a lot out of it.  I had done a lot of groundwork before and I wanted some validation and insights about the new direction or picot that I was thinking off.  Also, I am on the lookout to create a team and I wanted to get people like you all to potentially join my team.  Alice, I think you are definitely a good find, and if there is any interest, we should continue this conversation.

But I certainly have gotten insights from the video lectures as well as the team (again Alice especially, but also others who contributed).  Over the next few weeks/months, I will be travelling to Silicon Valley to see if I can get more people to join the team and also possibly raise funds.  We are listed on Angellist and I am also exploring raising money on KickStarter and similar sites.

Let’s stay in touch.

Thanx & Regards,
Aniruddha (“Anil”) Gupte
