When Vicky first started babysitting Timmy, she threatened him with blackmail, stating that it works great, "Just ask my little brother!", she picks up and dials the phone to her house, and her brother is heard screaming for a few seconds before she hung up.

The next time Vicky's House is seen however, she only has a little sister, Tootie, and her little brother was nowhere to be seen. This character has yet to appear in the main series and is now considered a nonperson. (Another possibility is that Vicky did "not call her own house" and only lied to convince Timmy. She said that she had a brother as a lie, but truly called a different boy [or Tootie see below] who she was a babysitter for and had already successfully blackmailed. This is strengthened by the following facts see below. So in the story, she only had one sibling Tootie.)

The pilot episode has many elements that were contradicted in later episodes. Timmy's exact meeting of Vicky and his fairy godparents was different in "Abra-Catastrophe!". This is because the pilot episode was made more in mind with getting the show picked up for more episodes, and when the creators succeeded in this, they decided that certain elements were worth changing, such as making Vicky's younger sibling a girl in love with Timmy.

In every episode, book, comic, and video game that Vicky's entire family has appeared in, her brother is not seen or referenced once, which means that the creators have established that he does not exist in the main series. He might even be deceased, but there is a much more valid explanation. Vicky might have been referring to Tootie instead of her brother in the Pilot Episode, as the screeching is mostly from a girl, revealing that Vicky's little brother might have been Tootie off-screen, at the time, and that Vicky actually lied about having a brother.

How capable? Well, somebody was a damn good (and quick) shot, and suddenly we had 5 caribou to butcher. All animals were skinned and all 20 front and hind quarters were removed with my Little Vicky plus many of the backstraps and tenderloins. All without resharpening it.

The thing I WILL take credit for is being a hell of a camp cook. I even served a side of braised fern fiddleheads I gathered on our first day out. There was caribou stew, caribou fajitas, and caribou hash for breakfast. Turns out it tastes just like reindeer.

Those little Victorinox deck knives are UBIQUITOUS in Kodiak. I think I have at least 3 rolling around in my truck. I have a handful at home. Every boat in the harbor has at least a dozen. Once they dull on deck they move into the flatware drawer in the galley as steak knives. I have one in a pen holder right now on my desk as a letter opener. They are absolutely everywhere.

While I think the last two tidbits are interesting food for thought, the only real explanation I found for such a low price given the materials, construction, and responsible manufacturing practices is economies of scale. The Ibach factory produces 30,000 kitchen knives every day, and even more of the pocket knives! The paring knives are some of their cheapest products too.

Commercial fisherman call them deck knives and use them all over for cutting line, preparing bait, and repairing nets. If you go in one of the commercial marine supply stores, they sell them by the box. The Little Vicky with the slip sheath is more of a consumer item. I recently picked up one at a West Marine store.

Vicky Welling (Elizabeth Victoria Gupton), age 56, was called home to be with the Lord in the early hours on Friday, November 10th, 2023. A lifelong resident of Hampton, she graduated from Hampton High School in 1985. Prior to graduating, Vicky met the love of her life, Russ. With the strongest bond and unconditional love, together they traveled the world and built a life they truly cherished. She was a dedicated childcare provider and amazing Lead Infant Room Teacher, faithfully opening the daycare daily for almost 3 years. She was a beloved and valuable member of the team who did a phenomenal job for True Heart Child Care and Learning Academy.

Vicky lived life to the fullest with never a dull moment. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grammy, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, always thinking of others. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence. To her, a stranger was just a friend that she had not met yet. Vicky had a way of making others laugh a little louder, smile a little bigger and enjoy each moment a little more. She was a true diva with a passion to shop and always dressed to impress. Vicky was one of a kind. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the joyful memories shared. She is missed tremendously.

The family will have a visitation on Monday, November 20th, 2023 from 4-5:30 PM at Berceuse Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 at 10:30 AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
