Super mulch | St Augustines

The new trees and landscape around St. Augustine’s Church are great except that the mulch around every new tree trunk is super high, probably inches higher than it should be. Could lead to trunk rot. Should I go out and rearrange mulch so that it creates the right mulch tree base relationship? I’m a little afraid they might yell at me since they just had the crew do the mulching last week... thoughts?
