Lawrence Humane Society Update: June 29, 2011 To our dedicated supporters: The relationship we have with our donors, volunteers, and other generous individuals is extremely important to us, and we want to provide this announcement to you in advance of its official release to media outlets. Dori Villalon has been named Executive Director of the Lawrence Humane Society today. The identification of Ms. Villalon as our choice for this position was the culmination of a nationwide search led by a recruitment committee appointed by the Board of Directors. For almost three months, these dedicated volunteers researched, reviewed and interviewed qualified candidates, and we truly appreciate their efforts. Thank you! The executive director position has been occupied on an interim basis since March by Mike Wildgen. We are extremely grateful for Mike's help during a time of significant change. He was essential in keeping our services available to the community, while also allowing us the time necessary for a thorough recruitment process. The complete press release  may be viewed online.
