So Nate and I were talking last week about the idea of a group project
for us to work on. I think in the course of a Rails project there is
at least one thing for us each to have a part in--for example, I'm
interested in becoming better at writing tests; I know there's also
been open discussion about version control, authentication, and other
facets of an application.

So, any takers? And if so, are there any project ideas you'd be
willing to share with the group? I'll throw one out there in the event
there's nothing better--I would like to create a basic remote server
monitoring application. I think I mentioned I was going to write one
at our last meeting. I know there are commercial services to do this,
but paying subscription fees for these isn't convenient at my work. Of
course, if someone has a better idea I'm happy to play along.

Let me know what you think--
Aaron

I'm on board with the idea. Personally, it doesn't matter what kind of
project it is, because I'd learn from just about any kind of project.

We could also do something to tie in with the mission of RailsBridge.
I keep a running list of websites that could use a reboot that I find
from time to time. There are several non-profits here in Lawrence that
could use some help with their websites and I'm not just talking about
design, but also function.

I'd be down with that, too.
