Sunday workday?

Hi gardeners,

It's supposed to be really nice this weekend. Would anyone be interested in having a workday on Sunday (or Saturday, but that's late notice I know)? Say starting at 4 or 6 o'clock or both? Pigweed is starting to take over, and there are so many peas to pick! The vines are starting to yellow due to the heat last week. I spent four hours last Sunday weeding the raised beds and around the tomatoes, and also put cardboard down in the back by the bamboo. I didn't have a chance to wood chip it so if anyone is inclined to go throw a few handfuls back there, feel free. The plants are pretty well marked. :)  We also have beautiful green tomatoes starting on the vines. Yay!

Thanks for proposing a work afternoon, Danielle. I am working until six and will swing by after that.

Potatoes are ready to harvest, get some! 

Weeding! pretty much anywhere, but ripping up the bind weed in the asparagus, clearing the arugula that has gone to seed, or weeding the south fence bed where the tomatoes and summer squash are planted would all be helpful and awesome. 

Harvest herbs, basil in the kids garden, oregano, chamomile, any garlic that's tops have yellowed. 

Also, I cannot add folks to the e-mail list they must do it themselves by going to google groups and searching "9th and Mississippi Lawrence garden" and adding themselves.
