Hi all,

Is there a work day scheduled for this weekend? If not, would anyone be up for one. There's a new gardener from the FB page that would like to come share her plants. What do you think?

Thanks!

Danielle

Sunday? You all decide the time.

I can do Sunday before 3 or after 6...

A good place to plant would be to the south side of the garden around where Nick planted the coldframed lettuces and collards.  Under the two white plastic frames Michael has planted okra, but other than that, it's free.  To the east of the white frames (before the compost bin, if that makes sense) there is a spot that has some lavender and other herbs that some gardeners put in last year.  More herbs (or flowers or whatever, really) could be added to that spot.  Also, there is space around the spinaches that could be planted.  Just some suggestions...

I would love to take out some of the debris that has accumulated near the shed and in the northwest corner of the garden, if anyone's up for that sometime.  I'd also like to cut down all the bamboo-like stuff in the back.

I'm so excited that the garden looks so beautiful!  Nice work, everybody...

Maybe 4? Chances are that at least some if us will still be there so Rachael can stop by after six if she likes? Would that be okay?

I bought a bunch of petunias, marigolds, and impatiens today. I had intended to plant them back by the bamboo, and then I noticed that we have a nice pallet in the junk by the shed. I'm thinking about covering it with dirt and making kind of a raised mound to subvert the weeds back there. Artistic suggestions would be appreciated.  I think there are six colors of petunias. :) Also, where are we planning on putting the tomatoes? I have a lot that I grew for the shared plot that need to be planted. We can discuss tomorrow, but just putting it out there.

Thanks!

Danielle
