Hi All,

We had the final meeting for the Garden Tour last night, and I picked up t-shirts, maps, and signs for the day of.

As usual, the tour is broken up into two segments: 9am-Noon and 5-8pm. Just wanting to make sure we can have some folks at the garden for both segments. I will be working at market for the entire first segment, but will be at the evening one. Hopefully some of our new as well as experienced gardeners can lend a hand at either one.Would someone be willing to take the signs to put up in the morning?

Should we have a contact list for new gardeners? Any fundraising ideas?

Danielle, shout at me so that I can get you and Noah your shirts before the tour, anytime tomorrow (wednesday) works well!

We have baseball Saturday morning, but Noah and I will be there from 5-8.

As far as fundraising, could we have a plant sale? Flowers for this year, flowers and veggies next spring? Like I was telling Huan and Michael, I have an Aerogarden and can quickly start
and grow 68 seedlings at any given time. Transplant into pots and voila!  Just an idea. :)

Hey Everyone,

Yes, yes, yes. This all sounds great. I will be there for most of the first shift and maybe some of the evening shift too. The place looks great and will be really fun to show off!

I like the plant sale idea, it might be a bit late to get started for this season but it has worked well in the past.

I've got an ad on craigslist looking for a roll of hay to be delivered. So far the only response said they wanted 60 bucks. The past two years we have payed 40 so if anyone has a lead on a roll cheaper than 60 that would be great. We are going to need it soon, though.

Also, please eat some greens and lettuce. There is so much right now and it's really good stuff. Feel free to eat the greens and lettuce out of my spot, too.

FYI, I planted okra along the south fence under the with PVC thingy's. Someone planted two tomatoes right in the middle of the patch. Not a big deal but it may be less then desirable when all the okra and those tomatoes get full sized.  I say this so we don't plant anything else in that spot as it is going to have plenty of plants come August.

Can't wait for the tour. Hope to see you all there!

Michael

I'm glad we have both times covered!

I'll put up signs Friday night if no one wants to get signs from me before that. I'll put t-shirts in a plastic bag on the garden table.

Looking forward to seeing folks at the second session. I'll bring some peppers and basil to put in where we have space.

Thanks for putting so much work into the garden this season! It looks awesome.
