Lawrence Food Garden Tour

Hey all,

The garden looks great right now!  I am so excited to see so many things planted by so many folks!  As many of you likely know, the Lawrence Food Garden Tour is on June 7th.  I know that we have been on the tour in the past years, and I signed us up again for this year.  As usual, the tour is broken into two shifts: 9am-noon and 5-8pm.  Hopefully some of us can help out with one or maybe both shifts.  I know that I plan to be there for both shifts. I attached the brochure for this year's tour, and it looks pretty spiffy!

I was out weeding my little corn patch this afternoon, when Serena Hearn came by. She is president of the Oread Neighborhood  board and had some questions. She wanted to know who was involved with the garden and whether we were aware that the Oread Neighborhood pays for our water. I guess other members of their board were concerned that the garden was overgrown and homeless people were sleeping there. She said that a few on the board didn't want to keep paying our water bill if we weren't using the garden for its intended purpose.

I suggest you get in touch with her soon. I'd hate to see us lose their support.
