With the QUESTTech Datathon just passing, we have many QUESTees to congratulate! This competition, sponsored by Fifth Tribe, was the third annual data competition hosted by QUESTech and the QUEST Honors Program at UMD. Teams had the opportunity to analyze a complex dataset and present their findings to a panel of judges for a chance to win a cash prize! Judges included QUEST alumna Heather Bacon (Cohort 34), Dr. Brian Danielak, Professor David Ashley, and QUEST Program Coordinator Emily Marks.
Rajendran: I was interested in participating in the datathon because I was looking for an outlet to apply some of the data science skills I was learning in my coursework. It also seemed like a fun event that would involve creatively thinking about how to pull insights from a large amount of information. Finally, the cash prize seemed nice ?
Rajendran: To prepare for the datathon, I familiarized myself with some of the tools and techniques that I would have to use to perform data analysis in Python. This included libraries like NumPy and Pandas.
Lamb: It was a little nerve wracking but a lot of fun. I could tell the other groups also put a lot of time and effort into their projects, and it was really cool to see the different approaches that others took. It was also interesting how different methods of data analysis led to different conclusions and variations of conclusions.
Rajendran: During the week of the event, my partner Daniel and I got together a few times to divide work, perform the analysis, and make the slide deck. The night before the presentation, we stayed up super late to put the finishing touches on our content and practice running through our slides. For both of us, it was our first QUEST presentation, and it was a really great experience!
This one is quite simple. While on the bridge of your ship check the eastern side of it (east of the Koronus Expanse Map) and "Place your hand inside the servitor's maw" to continue, then tell them that Pasqal informed you of the encrypted data.
Once your objective updates, read through whatever else you want/can here and pass both of the [Tech-Use] checks to learn about the caches in both Dargonus and Kiava Gamma. This will give us 2 new objectives.
Now, this next part is important. Given that we get this quest at the start of chapter 2, we won't be able to do anything about it until we're in the main quest "Reclaim What Was Lost". The reason for this is that during said quest we get 3 different objectives, and 2 of them have us go to both Kiava Gamma (we go to this one first), and Dargonus.
There's a lot to unpack for this objective, but it's pretty much a hidden room in Kiava Gamma. We visit this place during the main quest Flame in the Dark so click the link to find the cache. I go in full detail there on how to get it.
Similar to the cache in Kiava Gamma, we also get this one in one of the planets we visit during the main quest, Dargonus. We explore the world in full and get the cache needed for this objective. Go ahead and click on the link below for the main quest.
This will give you the Theodora von Valancius's Personal Notes and the Preliminary Report N4-073 and will report this quest COMPLETED. You can read both of these items from your inventory. It... won't make much sense, but you'll see the plot thickens beyond the power of a Rogue Trader apparently. We get some minor dialog choices with the Tech Priest as well and can have them report this to Pasqal as well (which BK picked).
EBT fraud is on the rise! Fraudsters will try anything to obtain your EBT card number and PIN. Never share your PIN with anyone. Do not respond to unsolicited emails, texts or calls asking for your EBT Card or PIN number. Legitimate EBT customer service workers will never ask for your PIN.
The Colorado Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) program delivers Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Cash Assistance payments to recipients of those programs. SNAP is distributed to a Colorado EBT card, also known as the Colorado Quest card. Cash benefits are distributed either to the EBT card, a personal bank account or to a prepaid KeyBank debit card via direct deposit.
Individuals and families who participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) are also eligible to enjoy deeply discounted admissions to museums and cultural centers throughout the state just by showing their EBT card when purchasing tickets. In addition, some organizations are offering discounts for the services they provide.
SNAP Benefits or Cash Assistance will be posted to your EBT account upon the approval of your application. For ongoing benefits please see the Benefit Issuance section on the EBT card brochure (English or Spanish).
You can use your EBT card at any authorized retail location in the U.S. that displays the EBT or Quest logo. Colorado may block transactions in certain cities/states if fraud is detected, and you may be required to call to have your card unlocked for those locations. Click here for more information.
Any benefits left at the end of the month will be carried over into the next month. Benefits not used will be removed from the card after 274 days (9 months). Contact your local county human services office if you have any questions regarding your benefits.
If you misplaced your EBT card and want time to look for it, you can freeze your EBT card to prevent new purchases, PIN changes and ATM transactions. You can freeze and unfreeze your card at any time by:
For example, you might receive a communication stating that your EBT card has been deactivated and in order to reactivate your card you must provide your 16-digit card number and PIN. The PIN is what protects the benefits on your EBT card. You should never share your PIN information with anyone.
If there is ever a question about if a text, an email, a letter, or a phone call is a scam, assume that it is and do not respond with any personal information. If possible, report it to your local county human services office and then ignore it.
The state, the county and our EBT vendor, FIS, would never send communications requesting that you provide personal information such as your card number and PIN.
Contact your local county human services office to report your new address and if needed, request a replacement EBT card. Addresses cannot be updated by calling the EBT Customer Service number that is listed on the back of your card.
Yes, some retailers have been approved through Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) to provide online purchasing with an EBT card. Visit the FNS website for a list of retailers that accept SNAP EBT online.
If a retailer overcharged your EBT card or the ATM did not dispense your cash funds, you can file a transaction dispute. A transaction dispute can only be filed for a transaction that occurred as a result of a system error, causing your EBT card and the point-of-sale or ATM device to be out-of-balance.
The steps to file a transaction dispute can be found here. You have 90 calendar days to file the dispute; however, you should file the claim right away. The EBT Customer Service representative will provide you with a case/claim number and additional information regarding the investigation/claim process.
Your Colorado EBT card can be used for purchasing groceries and withdrawing cash from ATMs, but there are several types of establishments where EBT card use is strictly prohibited. Click here for more information.
Cash can be used at any authorized retailer to make a purchase, get cash back with a purchase or to withdraw funds from an ATM with the EBT or Quest logo. There is a 32-cent fee each time you withdraw cash from an ATM; any additional ATM surcharge may apply.
If you are currently receiving cash payments via direct deposit to your bank account and you have questions about your payment, contact your local county human services office.
EBT cardholders: To enroll, update or remove direct deposit bank account information, download the Client Direct Deposit Enrollment form, read through the instructions, and submit the form.
Providers: To enroll, update or remove direct deposit bank account information, download the Provider Direct Deposit Enrollment form, read through the instructions, and submit the form.
If you are currently using a KeyBank prepaid debit card to access your cash payments and you have questions about managing your KeyBank prepaid debit card account or to order a replacement card, please contact Key2Benefits Customer Support directly. You cannot go into a KeyBank branch office for assistance. More information is available in English or Spanish.
EBT cardholders: If you are receiving cash assistance benefits and are interested in using the KeyBank prepaid debit card, review and complete the Client KeyBank Enrollment form.

I wanted to add GPS Navigation to a brand new 2016 23 LSV. So I started with the dealership, they quoted me $500+ to add it to my boat. So then I called around and found some helpful people at Medallion. They stated that all you need is a GPS antenna and a maps card. I got a Premium Maps card from a fishing buddy for free and got a GPS antenna from Malibu for $102. Don't remember the part#...
Plugged the maps card into a laptop and updated it. Placed it into the SD slot on the back of the RH touch screen. Plugged the wire from the GPS antenna into the "small" connector labeled GPS on the back of the RH touch screen. For the antenna I looped the cable up and zip tied the antenna puck up inside the boat in front of the console just under the RH vent. Turned the power on and waited in horror for several minutes thinking for $500+ from the dealership that there must be more to it than that? There wasn't, it was just that easy. It does however take a while the first time for everything to get going, just wait and be patient.
