If you have 20 minutes to kill, you might want to sit through
breakfast with me. Expect nothing special - just my way of saying
"good morning" to you.

I wanted an excuse to test the interview functionality of Zoom's
little
Q3HD
camcorder.
This has little to do with law, but it has plenty to do with making
an audio/video record of events. Unlike smartphone cameras, Q3HD
gives near-studio-quality audio.
I can use it for interviews, commentaries, seminars, musical and
stage performances, including court performances where permitted,
city council/ county commission meetings, I can become an excellent
tool for journalists and political/legal activists.
Compare it with similar
devices.
Sonic Sense gave the
best price I could find.
Specifications. Q3HD accommodates SDHC flash memory modules
up to 32G, has built-in USB plug, A/V and HDMI jacks for TV,
additional Microphone in,headphone out, and AC adapter jack. A pair
of AA batteries power it. The review screen gives a beautiful icon
menu that lets you set video/audio and other options. Sensible
buttons provide power on/off, record, playback, delete, menu,
volume, file select, menu option select. The 1080p, 720p, and lower
resolution .MOV files upload easily to youtube. And the 120 Degree
XY stereo microphone array detects crisp sibilants in the input
audio without distortion 3 feet and farther in front of the camera.
The lightweight camcorder fits easily in a shirt pocket, purse, etc.
Accessory. Zoom makes an accessory kit available with the
necessary cables, AC adapter, wind muffler, small carry case, and
mini-tripod.
