Hi All,

I'm looking to put together a lightning session for LAWCHA on "Increasing Access to Labor History" (exact title TBD). I'll be talking about an NEH-funded project at Temple University Press to digitize significant out-of-print books in labor studies and make them freely available online. It would be great to have a variety of other folks on the panel, including public historians, digital humanists, and archivists, who are also working on different projects to make labor history more accessible to the public.

Thanks for considering!

Best,

Annie Johnson

Hello,

This sounds like an important panel. Are you still looking for panelists? I have been doing work in labor history as public history since 2002, as an administrator on the Chicago Labor Trail Map, as a tour guide on Chicago's labor and working-class history, and now as the Subject Matter Expert on the development of the National Park Service's visitor center at the Pullman National Monument. I'd be curious to hear more about how you're shaping the panel. You can reach me at jh...@txstate.edu.

Thanks,
