I posted previously about a panel on worker migration and mobility, but thought this topic framing might reach some other folks.   We're looking for a panelist who could complement our research on African American migration and labor.  My paper will be on African American rural industrial migration within the South through the lens of migration to the Missouri Delta and the court testimony of workers in a 1906 peonage case.  Another panelist will present on the migrant roots of rural labor organizing (the Progressive Farmers and Householders Union and Southern Tenant Farmers' Union) in the western South, particularly Arkansas.

Dear Heidi,

I don't know if my project would fit within your panel but my work examines African American female domestic labor in Texas during the early 20th century. Please advise. Looking forward to a reply.

Best,

Hi,
Our Panel on Migration ties and networks is looking for a couple more presenters, in case you wish to join us!

Hi Heidi,
I have a paper that I think would nicely into this framing if you are still looking. I would be presenting on African American migration with the Southern timber industry and looking towards connections with the Great Migration. Please let me know if you are interested. (FYI - I am currently without power and internet due to Michael, but I will be making regular trips to areas with service).
Best,
Mac Marquis
