to LAWCHA 2019: Forum to find co-panelists
I’m seeking co-panelists and a chair who can address how movements within organized labor sought to sought to extend the principles of unionism beyond the workplace and into everyday life. My research focuses on the role of labor unions in establishing equitable urban housing, specifically looking at how the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America initiated dozens of high-rise, limited-equity cooperative housing complexes throughout New York City in the 1920s and 30s. Papers addressing urban radical movements or urban collectivism are especially welcome but I am also open to research addressing the topic more broadly. If interested, please contact me at j.ce...@northeastern.edu.
