I have the following concerns;

  1. Verdict - The verdict of this case is not out yet, and I do not want this blog to affect the verdict in any way. The verdict will be decided on 20 June 2008. All 23 prosecution & 2 defense witnesses have already given their testimonies. This blog will not likely to affect the trial adversely.

  2. Prosecution - I am going to give evidence that I have been threatened by a high ranking law enforcement officer 1 year before trial - I was threatened to present evidence in favor of prosecution. This may lead to me being charged in court.

  3. Asset Allocation - I am already in the process of passing on some of my assets to my love ones in case I need to defend myself in the court of law. I am a family man and I want to make sure my wife is properly taken care of.
To be fair to the organizations, parties & the individuals that may be involved, I am setting the following rules of engagement.
  1. Individual officer & not organization - When I refer to a wrongdoing committed by a civil servant, I only refer to the civil servant, and not to the organization that he / she is working under.

  2. Defamation against the state - I will personally disallow any slanderous or defamatory remarks in this blog. Defamatory or slanderous remarks against the Republic of Singapore, ministers, court officers, statutory boards or any government agencies will not be tolerated. Any such remarks will be removed from my blog.

  3. Correction rights - Every post that I make in this blog will be sent to the people involved. The involved people can include the plaintiff, law enforcement officer or CAD officer. They are given the opportunity to add to the comments to disagree with the content.

    I however reserve the rights to comment on your comments. I will not delete your comments, unless they are defamatory against the State (condition 2).

  4. Legal & Professional Knowledge - I would also talk about the legal argument & professional knowledge used in this case. This may be very pedagogical by nature. I will allow all comments, corrections as long as these comments are not defamatory against the State (condition 2).
To be honest, I am quite worried about what is to come. However, I want to make sure that people know about what happened to me and I do not want the same thing happening to others.
