Greetings Law Family,
Please see the attached notice from our newly appointed Returning Officer, Ms. Lyanne Lowe regarding the upcoming Law Society Elections.
Other Notices:
1. The Law Society Elections Committee Drive will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the ‘Pit’ on Tuesday 21st September 2010. All are invited to come out and sign up!
2. The first Welfare Committee meeting will be on Thursday September 23rd at 1:00pm in the Law Faculty Seminar Room. Any interested persons can come to the meeting.
We would also like to encourage everyone to support the "Be Your Brother's Keeper Fund"-an initiative of the Welfare Committee which allows all the members of the law society to play a positive role in each other's financial welfare. Just give what you can (in cash or coin) no matter how small it is-a little goes a long way. It launches Monday, Sept 20th and a collection tin will be placed in the library.
Welfare pins will be on sale for $5.00 throughout the week.
