As most of you may or may not know the University inter faculty games and UWIFA Championship are coming up soon. The inter faculty games, as it suggests is a competition that will be held between the faculties of the university in the sporting events of netball, 7 a side football and volleyball. All these sports are made of teams with a mixture of both female and mail players, with the exception of football where there are two independent teams. The UWIFA competition is an 11 a side football competition put on by the university's sports office.
Therefore being the proud, distinguished and all rounded faculty that we are in, the law faculty will be seeking to participate fully in all the above mention sporting events. This can only be done with the active participation of the student population of the law faculty. Therefore with that in mind I have set up a facebook group for anyone that is interested in participating in these events, either by playing, assisting in the organization of the teams or anyway other thing that that is needed to be done in this area to join. The name of the group is 'Law Society Sports' and it is open for anyone to join to receive updates on training and other information relating to sports in the faculty. Also it is my intention to begin training next week. The dates of training will be posted in the group in time for tomrrow.
Anyone who is interesting in join the Law Society Sports Committee could send me a email at benjami...@gmail.com, call me at 237-5372 or on bbm 2239CCB0 stating your interest. Sports Committee is mainly responsible for coordinating the sporting events within the faculty, the biggest being the law society sports day which is set for next semester during the faculty’s week of activities. You do not need to be someone who has a vast knowledge of sports all that is needed is a creative mind. So i am looking forward to seeing names to join the committee. I thank you in advance for your interest.
