Dear all,

 

attached I’m re-sending you the joint statement on the EU-India FTA, for which we are currently collecting sign-on’s.

 

Up to yesterday morning, 88 organisations had signed on to the statement, including the oldest farmers organisation in India which claims to represent the voice of over 750 mio farmers in India!  Moreover, we have health groups, women’s groups, hawkers, developmental groups, etc, so quite a broad range of supporters.

 

We also have opened the statement to individuals.

Could you circulate it to some of your trade union contacts who might be interested in signing?

We will hand it over to the Commission on Monday, it will be officially "launched" on Tuesday, so any signatures we have by Monday evening will be included in our messages around this. But we'll keep collecting signatures after.
