As you know, I have been in rehearsal for a play by Lisa Loomer
called Distracted that will be be opening this week at ArtsWest in
West Seattle! The story is centered around nine year old Jesse who
cannot focus. He is energetic, creative, often obnoxious, but in
generally a good kid who has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit
Hyperactivity Disorder. His Mom is trying to help, Dad is in denial
and there are a host of professionals and outsiders trying to give
their two-cents. This play is about one family's journey to finding
the best help for their child. This is a is fast paced and very funny
window into how distraction affects the village that raises our
children...
