Polynomial Regression and Response Surface Analysis With SEM and Lavaan

Hi all!

I am interested in running a model testing the effect of congruence in choices between two people. I found that the more reliable method to explore that is polynomial regression followed by response surface analysis.

I am not familiar with the technique in general, but I would like to ask if you know any paper that has used SEM output (instead of regression outputs) to do response surface analysis.

Not the best article ever, but it was the first one that came to my mind because I am one of the authors. Response surface analysis does not care if the coefficients that you feed into it came from regression with observed variables or from a latent variable regression.

 

I am attaching the R code that we used to do the response surface plot from Mplus results.
