 I have to write a thesis on confirmatory factor analysis. I’m working with a depression survey made up of 5 questions, repeated on a sample of people from 2002 to 2012. I’m looking for books or articles that discuss the use of confirmatory factor analysis in this kind of context. Would you be able to help me or point me to some useful resources?

Bollen's book is great, but it depends on your level of prior knowledge.

For more introductory books, I'd suggest:
