3) CALL OUT FOR WORKSHOPS
School is back, winter is coming, fall is here and hibernation is
looming on the horizen.. But have no fear! Give yr brain something
fresh to think about, and let's get together!!
There are many brilliantly fantastic and inspiring people in this
community with many secret (or not so secret) skills to share! In the
coming cold air, we should share them! I want to organize weekly
workshops starting in october and going beyond to share some of these
skills! Skills you might not even think you have!
In terms of a space, the KWCCSJ (the Kitchener Waterloo Community
Centre for Social Justice) is more than available to host any workshop
or workshop series that you want to hold. Be advised if you need an
oven kitchen,we don't have that so we'll have to look to other magical
places around!
Please spread this widely; the date is up to you, though if we stick
with the same day of the week, it may keep it consistent?
Here are some cool topics I know I would be excited to learn about:
-bookbinding
-apples!
-coldframes
-how to patch socks
-how to make yr own shovel
-bicycles ;)
-consent
-seed saving
-how to make yr own underwear
-screenprinting
-diy toothpaste
-talking about sexism
-bringing any university topic out of the walls of school
...lots and lots and lots of infinite possibilities!! And maybe this
can blossom into something more concrete? :):)
Let's get together and bloom!
Please email
bicyc...@gmail.com for more info or to get yr workshop
rolling!
Grease n' beans!
