Hello Kelly,
I'm guessing that you worked things out for your return trip, but if not, here are some options:
- There is a bus that leaves Roscoe at 4:50 pm and gets into the city at around 9:30 pm. It is operated by Coach USA. It's comprised of two trips and each needs their own ticket. The first leg is from Roscoe to Monticello. The second leg is from Monticello to Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. I find that it is easiest to download their app and buy the tickets using it. It's not the best app, but it works.
- If you can get a ride to Middletown or Otisville, which are about 45 minutes from Roscoe, they have trains that run fairly regularly to the city. The train connects fairly easily to Newark Airport or to Penn Station in New York City. You can purchase tickets from a machine that is at the train station. If you want to go to New York City, you'll need to change trains in Secacus.
If you or anyone else will be taking either of the above, I'm happy to talk about it over the weekend to help guide you.
- Reid (Ben's cousin, who grew up in Atlanta)
