Door to HealthCare to Enroll Uninsured Marylanders in

Western Maryland at Healthy Howard on March 15

"HealthConnectNow!" is one in a series of free health and enrollment events sponsored by Maryland Health Connection to enroll the state's uninsured in health coverage by March 31 deadline.

Columbia, MD - Healthy Howard, Inc's Door to HealthCare will host "HealthConnectNow!" at 8930 Stanford Blvd, Columbia, MD on March 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to enroll uninsured Marylanders in quality, affordable health coverage through Maryland Health Connection. The health fair is one in a series of events being held throughout Maryland sponsored by the state's health insurance marketplace to inform individual and families about their health coverage options under the federal Affordable Care Act and help them obtain health coverage before the March 31 deadline for open enrollment.

Certified representatives of Healthy Howard's Door to HealthCare, as well as insurance carriers and brokers, will be on hand to answer questions and help attendees enroll and see if they qualify for financial assistance that would lower premiums and out-of-pocket costs or Medicaid.

Those enrolling in health coverage should bring the following:
  • Social Security Numbers for you and family members (or document numbers for any legal immigrants who need insurance)
  • Employer and income information for everyone in your family (for example, from pay stubs, W-2 forms, or wage and tax statements)
  • Policy numbers for any current health insurance
  • Information about any job-related health insurance available to your family
The Howard County Health Department and other community partners will provide free flu vaccinations, cancer screenings, smoking cessation information and more. Community organizations will provide information on housing, legal aid, immigration, and other support services. The health fair will also feature food and entertainment, as well as demonstrations and information on healthy living and fitness.
