Ganesh Chaturdhi Celebrations -- Laurel Heights

All: This is that time of the year that we all celebrate the festivities together. Here is the summary of the short call we had last week --

• Suggestion is that we would need to give a chance to people who have not participated in the Pooja Committee in that earlier years. Names suggested -- Suresh and Sudhakar from Laurel Heights Dr.; Manish and Shiva from Cranbrook Circle ; Niranjan and Vinod from Linden Court. If anyone is not interested or have constraints in doing so, please connect with Srikanth and let him know.
• While the committee starts to get up and running, here are some head start items that are getting initiated
• Srikanth to check Atlanta Recreation Center for booking it for post festivities party
• Suresh to talk to the priest
• Srikanth/Niranjan to work on suggestions for Ganesh Idol

That said, we will have the Pooja Committee take over from here and please pour in with any further thoughts.

Hello Guys Ganapathi Bapa Mouria!! Today I have purchased 2 feet Ganapathi from Patel Brothers . we need to plan for celebrations. Suresh Garu@ did you get a chance to speak with Priest Phani Kumar Garu ? Al @ we may need your help for pressure wash pooja place, if possible can you do it on Wednesday, please let me know your availability Jitinder @ we may need your ideas for decorating pooja madap. Guys @ we have to stand up tent on Wednesday , so that we can give sufficient time for our ladies group to plan for decorations. Tarana@ we need to your inputs on cultural activities. Updates Special thanks to Al Patel who has helped us to pressure wash enter pooja mandap area. Also I would like to thank everyone who took time and helped to put up tent. Decoration items suggested in ladies whatsapp  : work sarees , chunnis, pattu sarees , plastic flowers , real flowers , any show piece item

Please remember what we give so we won't mix up

Dear all 

FYI 

Today evening around 6:15 PM the tent flew away with wind completely and almost fell on Kishan- Shailaja son Saneeth , luckily nothing happened to anyone 

There was a scratch on the glass window of our basement , very minor 

And this happened during evening pooja time , so people reacted immediately , we went out at that time 

Thank you all for the efforts to put the tent up again 

but we all have to keep in mind and be very careful of the instruction manual in future to avoid such situations 

The chunnis and sarees are safe :) 

Also just a friendly reminder to put little oil while putting deepam and wait until it's done 

Nimajjan is planned on Monday morning 11:00 am 

All cloth material is with me , pls collect
