I know it might seem like since you just updated this shouldn't really be needed but because safe boot clears out system caches among other diagnostics, it might be worth doing that then reboot and log in your default account and test to see if its working properly.

I do have a hot corner set up to activate screensaver, and it did work until now, but to my surprise, now the hot corner makes everything on the desktop disappear (as if screen saver is starting) and yet the pretty Sonoma wallpaper does NOT move (which is NOT what a screensaver is supposed to do). It stopped working, which is annoying. I guess rebooting may fix it, but that's even more annoying.

So, I did not reboot but went to settings and switched back to my old screen saver (thousands of tennis photos) and it worked. Then switched back to the Sonoma screen saver, and it's now working. It was just stuck. Easy fix.

Do you have FileVault enabled? Because then it doesn't work on the login screen because your drive is still encrypted before you log in. MacOS boots in a special recovery mode where you can enter your password if FileVault is enabled. You might also see that other configurations such as Night Shift will be activated only after you are logged into your account.

This might help. I disabled the HiddenMe app. it's an app that hides my desktop folders and files on my screen. it was interfering with the live wallpaper. if you just recently installed an app, that's probably the reason why you're also having an issue

It does, I have tested that at home before. Having a video with no sound on even in the background can keep it from entering the correct idle state it needs to move into the screen saver. A live wallpaper will, most of the time, do the same thing.

If you have an iPhone and there are videos that you want to turn into live wallpapers, you have options. However, you'll have to first convert those videos to live photos. From there, you'll be able to find the live photo in your library and set it as your wallpaper.

Hi there , click on settings , applications , running services , then you should see your live wallpaper , click on that and then settings , the just choose wallpaper instead of live wallpaper and this will stop it and revert to a normal sony paper or whatever else you have in there .

I'm not sure if it's the same on older systems, but on ICS it appears to save directly to /data/data/com.android.settings/files/wallpaper. I set mine from the browser, pulled that file, then changed it to a .png extension and voil - it was the image I had set.

When choosing a new wallpaper, you don't have the option to set it to Home, Lock, or both screens (well done devs). The wallpaper and themes section is incredibly hard to get to because the old shortcut just takes you to the Galaxy App Store.

See, I managed to get a running GIF (live wallpaper) by using the option Use On Both, when choosing the wallpaper. Here's the kicker, and the reason for my frustration: The new One UI does not have that option anymore when setting up a wallpaper, if you still have the option, then I will factory reset my phone and have One UI reinstall, maybe it was a broken update process, but it's highly unlikely.
It doesn't even let me use the wallpapers that I bought from the Galaxy Store, it only allows the default theme one, from my gallery (images only) or colours (for the home screen).

P.S. somewhat related to the new One UI, it force pushes "Tips" even though I disabled permission for it, it tries to make you to engage with the device more. Safely to say after 12 years of using Samsung, this is the last device I get from them, even though I know, that'll make 0 difference to them as
