Can we publish my Latrz list as an RSS feed or web page for my friends/colleagues?

Hi James

I'd like to be able to use Latrz like a mini blog - to note a link,
add a description, and then move on. Then make a feed available to
friends/colleagues, either as a web page or as RSS. And ideally with
tags...

At the moment I use Google Reader's shared items to do this (easily)
for the RSS feeds I read regularly - but there are always other items
I want to pass on that either don't come on a feed at all, or are on
feeds I don't want to subscribe to. Going into blogger is OK if I've
got a lot of comment, but for the instant "blimey, have you seen this"
moment, the Latrz approach could be a hell of a lot easier.

Obviously my next question will be - can I restrict who would be able
to see this feed?
- exclude any search engine robots from it
- make the URL obscure (like Google shared items)
- maybe use some Google (or Open Social) magic to invite readers - in
the same way as Google Talk

Regards Nigel

Great idea - we're working on it! :)

Currently I was thinking of having a 'to read' feed and a 'recommended
reading feed' - both of which could be filtered by tags to
include/exclude things. e.g. some stuff you might wanna keep private
as its to do with your day job or something. Or some stuff is just
personal to do with shopping or whatever.

So folks might wanna see what articles you're adding to your reading
list - but I suspect eventually more folks will wanna know what you've
read and really liked (i.e. stuff you clicked on the Good link to mark
it as read).

Yeah. I suspect some folks will be happy making some stuff public
(maybe some public tag sets or something). Otherwise it'll be private
and only available to named people maybe via Google Contacts API.

Exact details need to be worked out - I'll post to the list when more
detail is fleshed out.

We've now got support for Atom feeds of your reading list or read articles
http://latrz.blogspot.com/feeds

By default feeds are private and only readable by yourself. You can
enable them to be public - and use tags to filter what articles go
into your feeds.

For more details see the recent blog post...
