Latona Pub News 2/1/18

Hey folks! 

March approaches swiftly, and we've got some really incredible events going on the pub that we're really excited about. 

First up, on Monday, March 5th, we're releasing a ridiculous 5-way collaboration IPA with Chainline, Skookum, Matchless, Urban Family, and Three Magnets, called TL;DR (aka Too Long; Didn't Read.) Additionally, we'll have some rarely seen specialties on tap from each brewery, like Skookum's Neapolitan Stout, Urban's Heart of Stone Sour, Matchless' Gossip Doppelsticke, Three Mags Helsing Solera Blend Farmhouse, and Chainline's Brake Czech Dark Lager. You'll want to show up for this, because there are only a few kegs of TL;DR out in the wild, and you'll only find it at the three pubs. 

   

And THEN, to celebrate women's history month in the craft beer industry, Stoup Brewing's Lara Zahaba (Co-Owner | Marketing & Communications), Robyn Schumacher (Co-Owner | Brewer | Cicerone) & Natalie Lawrence (Sales) will be hosting a discussion on the life of a beer ranging from the brewing process, to marketing, and more. We'll also be releasing a number of local beers honoring the Pink Boots Society, an organization made up of women in all levels of the beer industry.  We're honored to be hosting this event, and hope that you'll all attend.

Finally, March IPA Madness is almost upon us. Brackets will be released on Thursday, March 5th and can be turned in UP UNTIL THE POINT a winner is picked for the first bracket. Aside from bragging rights, the winning—i.e. most accurate—customer bracket(s) will earn a $25 gift certificate to the Latona. The winning brewery will have a celebratory brewer's night at the Latona in late May, date to be determined. 

We've changed the format slightly this year to help mitigate the feeding frenzy we experienced last time around: 

First, there will be no pitchers allowed for any of the brackets, including the Final Four. Second, there will be a (2) pint limit per customer, per visit to the bar. For example, if you need (6) beers, then either 3 people from your table need to go to the bar, or you need to go 3 times on your own. 

   

As always, we've got Phil Sparks running our Jazz Happy Hour every Friday from 5pm-7pm, and bluegrass every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month!
