Latona Pub 2020 March IPA Madness

Hey there! 

It's that time of year again—March IPA Madness is back! 

 

Sixteen IPAs enter, but only one will emerge victorious! 

This year, we've got some new contenders—Grains of Wrath (Camas, WA), Ravenna Brewing (Seattle, WA), Wander Brewing (Bellingham, WA) and Fort George (Astoria, OR)—alongside some local heroes like Stoup, Reuben's, Pike, Cloudburst, Urban Family, Seapine, Lucky Envelope, Big Time, and returning champions Georgetown Brewing. From outside Seattle proper, we've got fresh IPAs from Brothers Cascadia, Skookum, and Bale Breaker.

Basically, it's heaven for the local IPA lover. 

If you recall, we made some changes last year to the competition to make it a better experience for our customers, the brewers, and the pub. 

Here's the drill:

First, come fill out a bracket at the Latona. It’s pretty simple. There are four beers in each bracket. You rank those beers 1-4 based on your prediction of which will receive the most votes in a blind tasting (1 being the highest voted beer.) Then, advance those four beers to the final four in the order that you believe they’ll receive the most votes. 

Brackets can be turned in at the Latona up until the second round starts (noon on 3/21.) 

Here’s how it works. We tap four IPAs at the same time, on the same day. You can order a flight of four 4.5 pours for $8. The beers will be numbered 1-4, and you’ll rank them based on blind tasting on the provided ballot. The most accurate brackets will win prizes like SWAG, gift certificates, and the opportunity to attend a Latona collaboration brew day and name the beer! 

The Final Four will tap on April 4th, when we'll also be playing the big games on the projector.
