Hey everybody—

Great news! The Latona will be re-opening for take-out on Wednesday, May 6th.

Our hours of operation will be Weds-Sun, 4pm-8pm. For the first couple of weeks, we’ll be operating with a skeleton crew of James and I while we figure out the best way to expand the team, hours, and menu.

One of the goals of our hiatus was to take a step back and examine the things we can do differently to provide a safe and welcoming customer experience. We came up with some pretty cool ideas moving forward, such as weekly specials that you can pre-order, crowlers, and some take n’ bake style entrees for those nights that you want to cook, but don’t have the time or energy to prep. In the future, we’re also working on a delivery model to bring the Latona to your doorstep.

Here are some of the immediate changes though:

In addition to growlers and pints to-go, we’ll be offering a selection of cans to-go, along with bottles of wine, and large bottles of higher end ciders. Soon, we’ll be exploring things like canned cocktails and hard kombucha.

One of the biggest changes to the Latona is that you’ll be able to place your order on-line via our website, including beer and wine, and it’ll be ready for you to pick up in about 30 minutes.

We’ve also reconfigured our credit card system so that all you’ll have to do when you get here is tap or insert your card. We’ll punch in the total and print your receipt for you—you never touch the terminal, and we never touch the card—then you’ll just sign the receipt using a pre-sanitized pen.

An automatic gratuity of 18% will be added to all take-out orders. Anything above and beyond is always appreciated, but not expected or necessary!

Waiting, pick-up, and payment areas have been more clearly designated to help maintain social distance. We’ll also be accepting walk-in orders while maintaining a 2 customer waiting occupancy.

The break gave some much needed time to catch our breath and figure out some new ways of doing things while we all wait for things to approach some sense of normalcy as we used to know it.

Thanks for all the support you’ve given and continue to give us, and thank you for making us your neighborhood pub during these bizarre and difficult times. We look forward to serving you once again, cheers!

See ya next week,

Carter
