Hey everyone!

It's been a while, I'm sure I've seen a bunch of you around the pub, but there are so many awesome and unique things going on here that it was starting to feel like an update was overdue!

Fresh hop season is in full swing, so we decided to celebrate it this year with some exciting collaboration brews. First, we just released our fresh hop collaboration with Stoup Brewing and Chuck's Hop Shop—the Fresh Hop Fiend IPA. Brewed with 700 pounds of fresh Chinook hops—we traveled to Yakima's Roy Farms to pick up—this is one of the most exciting collaborations we've ever done. You'll be able to find it at the 3 Pubs (Latona, Fiddler, and Hopvine), both Chuck's locations, and at the brewery.

Only a day after we picked up the hops from Roy Farms, we traveled over to North Fork Brewery for the unique experience of picking hops grown by brewer Eric Jorgenson and a bunch of Whatcom County locals, yielding 39.5 pounds of fresh Cascade, Chinook, and Goldings hops. After stuffing our faces full of some of the best pizza in Washington, drinking some amazing sour beers around a camp fire, and crashing in Eric's guest camper, we woke up and brewed a fresh hop IPA that we'll be releasing on Monday, October 7th. Given that the North Fork is only working with a 3.5 barrel system, there's not going to be much of this beer, so get it while it's fresh!

Toward the later part of the month, on Monday, October 21st, we'll be celebrating Pike Brewing's 30th Anniversary with a special brewer's dinner in the loft. Tickets are $75 and seating is limited, but those who are able to get a seat will be treated to a four-course meal (paired with four beers) with as many ingredients sourced from the Pike Place Market as possible. If you're interested, ask a server about reserving a seat, or email LatonaP...@gmail.com

On the food side, our fall menu just rolled out. That means it's Kale Panzanella season, but don't forget about the Chicken Pot Pie or Shington Grinder!

And as always, there's the music. Phil Sparks is still playing every Friday night with his rotating cast of Seattle's best Jazz musicians, and we'll have The Highball String Band in the house on Sunday, Oct 27th at 7pm.

We're eternally thankful that you've made the Latona your neighborhood pub, and I personally look forward to raising pints with you this fall. Cheers!

Matt
