I just got off the phone with her and I am pledging $100 to support the dinners and materials and supplies for these Xicano/Latino Students at East High School!! Whatever you can give will be greatly be appreciated. I know Silvia is very committed to these students and works hard every day even in the summer so they can be ready for the following school year!!

Good Afternoon,
We are again having our Xicanx Institute at East High School this summer. Dates are July 31-August 10 from 5-7:30pm in the LMC.
We have some super awesome speakers and workshops lined up for the students. If you know of any high school youth, especially Xicanx youth, that would be interested in learning about Identity, Activism and Youth Power, please have them fill out the application attached. There IS limited space so please have them send in their applications as soon as possible via email or whatever way.
If you is interested in helping the Xicanx Institute, monetary donations would be great as we have limited funds for materials and supplies and will need more for providing dinner for about 40 students and presenters for 9 days.
