Here's what's going on!

Caucus members,

I hope you all are having a great week and that you're getting ready
for a month full of events and excitement!

1. Fun & Games at the Swap Meet!
When: Saturday- August 1, 2009 (from 4:00-8:00)
Where: Tanque Verde Swap Meet (not on Tanque Verde, but on PALO
Verde south of Ajo)
What: Contest, games, snacks, and music- with a focus on voter
registration and PEVLs

2. Voter Registration Marathon!
When: Saturday- August 8, 2009 (from 9:00-12:00)
Where: Rudy Garcia Park- Ramada UNO (corner of Irvington and
Nogals Hwy.)
What: Engage and encourage people to become active through voter
registration, PEVL sign
ups, issue advocacy (since we are teaming up with OFA
and asking voters to support
Obama's health care reform), and PC involvement.

3. Know Your Rights in the Workplace
When: August 5, 2009 (from 6:30-9:00)
Where: Armory Park Community Center (220 S. 6th Ave. [Downtown])
What: topics: abuse, safety, wages, immigration, and
discrimination.
If we are working for this community, let's become
engaged with the issues that affect
them (us).

The Latino community can have a HUGE influence in the coming
elections, but we can mobilize without your help! If you have any
questions, would like to attend an even, or have any suggestions,
please call me. I would love to hear from you!

Also, the calendar has been revised. I will be adding new stuff each
week, so keep an eye on it!
