Women Transforming Cities (Mujeres Transformando Ciudades) y Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House se han asociado para organizar un Café informal de discusión para explorar la cuestión de: “¿CUALES SON LAS PRINCIPALES CARACTERISTICAS DE UNA CIUDAD MEJOR PARA MUJERES Y NIÑAS?” Los tópicos a discutir incluyen: Espacios Públicos, Amenidades Públicas y Vecindarios. El propósito de este café organizado por Women Transforming Cities (Mujeres Transformando Ciudades) es el de documentar y cimentar la opinión de las/los asistentes acerca de varios aspectos importantes en el desarrollo urbano de una ciudad que afectan principalmente a mujeres y niñas.

The Affordable Housing Crisis: Designing an Ideal City for Women and Girls

Women Transforming Cities and Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House have partnered to host an action-oriented Café discussion evening, exploring the question: “WHAT CAN WE DO AS CITIZENS TO SOLVE AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THE CITY?” Lack of affordable housing and homelessness can affect everyone living in the city; youth, seniors, mothers and their children, and immigrants have an especially difficult time finding affordable places to live. The purpose of theWomen Transforming Cities Cafés is to develop and document participants’ views about important urban issues that particularly affect women and girls.
The Café round-table discussions will take place in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Women Transforming Cities is an organisation dedicated to engaging women and girls in municipal decision-making, policy making, urban planning and budgeting in order to transform cities to be more equitable, inclusive and democratic for all residents.
