long caption in list of figures

Hello,
Is it possible to have long caption automatically (or manually) breaks
line in list of figures? Because I have some too long captions that
can't appear entirely in the list of figures.

you can write captions so that what appears with the figure isn't
necessarily what shows up in the list of figures:

\caption[Short caption for list of figures]{Longer caption that will
be printed with the actual figure}

yes..? latex will break long captions over several lines if
necessary, but you can do it manually if you want (not sure it's a
good idea to do so, though). it is also an acceptable practice to use
a short title for the list of figures/&c. and a longer one in the
text.
