Problem with bibliography output in LaTeX

Hi all,

I'm having a little problem with my master's thesis (aargh!).
Everything runs just fine, until after I run BibTeX. Then I get a
series of error messages:

I have *no* idea what it wants. If I push through them, the
bibliography is created just fine, *except* that there is the following
line of text at the beginning of it, just after the heading:

10pt5plus2.5minus

Any ideas on how I can get rid of it? I tried deleting all the output
files and starting fresh, but that didn't help.
