Hello all,

Does university of Chicago have a template for writing the Ph.D thesis
in latex? If yes, please give it to me, I need it. I don't know why I
cannot find it in the official website of University of Chicago.

Thank you beforehand

my guess would be 'no', if you can't find one. it's probably just as
well: usually university-specific class files
are horribly outdated, half-broken, etc.

what you should probably use instead is a class like memoir, one from
the koma-classes, or 'classic thesis' (all on ctan). they offer lots
of built-in options (high level macros) for customization.

for bibliography, use biblatex. there are two 'chicago sytles'
available. these are also all on ctan.

cheers,
jon.

OK I understand. Maybe so that I couldn't find any.

From the other side,
I need this template even if it was broken, can I have it? I was
hoping you attach something related to university of Chicago.

Anyway, please if you could find anything then I appreciate you to
send it to me.
I think you for replying me.
regards

if i could i would, but i don't think there is one. but usually a
university's style requirements, while probably idiosyncratic, are not
that hard to implement in latex --- especially if you use one of the
classes i mentioned before.

at the very least the university of chicago should have their thesis
requirements posted. the existence of a chicago class depends on the
willingness of someone (e.g., a chicago student) to make it. but she
or he might have done so ten years ago, which means it will probably
conflict with newer versions of 'standard' packages anyway. this is
the case at my university, anyway.

cheers,
jon.
