Favorite TeX Editors

I am creating a high-level TeX/LaTeX how-to for my department,
and am looking for suggestions/recommendations for the various TeX editors.

For Linux/Windows/Mac I'm looking at Texmaker, Texstudio and Texworks.
In addition, I am looking at Kile (Linux), Winedt (Windows) and TeXShop (Mac).

Thoughts on all of the above (if not more) would be greatly appreciated.
