I am using the siunitx package for typesetting units in my thesis.
Using the default settings, it appears to me that the values and units
are not separated by enough space. How do I increase that spacing? For
example, in "5 mL" I would like to know a way to control the space
between 5 and mL.

Thank you

Consider reading the siunitx manual, available online via CTAN from:
http://tug.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/siunitx/siunitx.pdf
Specifically, Section 11.2 Spacing and separators on page 24. SIunitx
defines a number of "sep" options - unitsep, valuesep, digitsep and
anglesep.

Werner,
Thank you for your suggestion. I looked at the manual earlier but I
was unable to figure out how to use that option... I just started
learning to use Latex. Specifically, I was confused between unitsep
and valuesep. I was using unitsep instead of valuesep and kept
wondering why it wasn't working! Now, I got it working.
