Table of content inside text/body

Hi Guys,

How can I include the table of content of a document or a subset of it
within the latex document body.

For example Chapter 3 has the following structure:

3.1 Introduction
3.2 Body
3.3 Conclusion

I can type them myself but I am looking for a way to do it automatically.

If you're talking about adding a table of contents per chapter, that is doable via the minitoc package, available online CTAN from:

  http://www.ctan.org/pkg/minitoc

the /tableofcontents per default already does that, it list nested chapter, sections and subsections, no need to use minitoc

The OP questioned whether one can include parts of the Table of Contents in the main LaTeX body text. Minitoc can do this. However, there may be other ways of extracting the content written to {\jobname}.aux without using minitoc - I don't know how to do that.
