Hello forum, I have a question about referencing equations, because it does not appear in parenthesis.
For example
\begin{equation}
 f(a) = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2 \pi} \sigma a}\exp\{-\frac{\ln^{2}(a/a_0)}{2\sigma^{2}}\}
\label{eq:eq_lognormal}
\end{equation}

This is \ref{eq:eq_lognormal}.

***************

It appears as

this is equation 1.

I would like something like

this is equation (1).

Thanks

Hi, Ritchie!

Try using \eqref{fig:label} from amsmath.

Bests,

Bruno.
